Item parenting styles(UMT.Lahore, 2021) MAHNOOR FAYYAZ; RIMSHA RIZWAN; SIDRA MUJAHID BUTTThe research was conducted to see the relationship of Parenting Styles, family communication on Psychopathic tendencies in youth. For conduction of the study data was collected from college and university Students, making the sample size of (131). Online data was gathered using Revised Parental Authoritative Questionnaire (Alkharusi et al., 2011), Family communication Pattern (Koerner et al., 2017), and Levenson’s self-report psychopathy scale (Levenson, 1995). Parental Authoritative Questionnaire deals with three types of parenting Authoritative, Authoritarian and permissive, Family communication pattern items dealt with conversation and conformity among the family while the Levensons self-report psychopathy scale deals with primary and secondary psychopathy as well. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between authoritative parenting and psychopathic tendencies and its subscales. Significant positive relationship between authoritarian parenting style and psychopathic tendencies was found. Family communication; conformity orientation was found to have a significant relationship with psychopathic tendencies. There was a significant gender difference in males for psychopathic tendencies, and females had a significant gender difference for authoritative parenting. Parenting styles; authoritative parenting, authoritarian parenting and permissive parenting; family communication pattern are predictors of psychopathic tendencies. The study findings can be helpful for clinicians and family therapists to help develop more targeted treatments towards their clients
