    Legal needs of visually challenged persons in Punjab
    (UMT.Lahore, 2018) RANA MUHAMMAD TAHIR
    Pakistan, is the seventh largest most populous country having population of 130.58 million, among the most populous countries of the world. However, concerning about to literacy it ranks on 160th, setting them at the 55 percentiles for proficiency around the globe (Pakistan Ministry of Finance, 2003). The present study intended to: 1); investigate the legal needs of visually challenged persons in Punjab. 2); Highlight the major legal needs of visually challenged persons in Punjab. 3); Find the effect of demographic factors on legal needs of visually challenged persons in Punjab. The research method was quantitative in nature. A questionnaire was formulated for this study. In this study industrial worker (n=320) from the selected for the survey. The results of the quantitative survey were analyzed through SPSS. Mean and frequencies were calculated. ANOVA was used to calculate the significance. It was concluded that visually challenged persons has keen interests related to their legal needs. It is the need of the hour that the Government should address these legal needs immediately on a priority basis. Further researches can be conducted to find out the basic needs of the visually challenged persons in Punjab (Pakistan).
