    PakistanCivil Aviation Authority (CAA) is an open territory self-overseeing body working under the Federal Government of Pakistanthrough Aviation Division Cabinet Secretariat. CAA was set up on seventh December, 1982 through PakistanCivil Aviation Authority command 1982. Before generation of CAA, a Civil Aviation Department (CAD) in the Ministry of Defense (MoD) used to manage the Civil Aviation related activities. Administration of Defense (MoD) continued being the controlling Ministry even subsequent to making of CAA on seventh December, 1982. In any case, in June, 2013, Government of Pakistanconsigned this commitment to Cabinet Secretariat (Aviation Division).
