    Cholistan Resort

    Interior design is the art and technique of enhancing the interior space of a building to get a healthier and more comfortable environment for the people using the space. The interior design serves as an introduction for the purpose of construction of a building. A person who enters the building gets to know the basic idea of the place and its roots in the cultural aspect of the surrounding region by just looking at its interior design. A resort is a self-sufficient business organization that aims to deliver the majority of a holidaymaker's wants, such as food, drink, swimming, accommodation, sports, entertainment, and shopping, on site. Pakistan comprises of different regions with unique cultural, linguistic, and traditional values. This project emphasizes the need to preserve and promote the local culture of the Cholistan desert. Cholistan desert, or Rohi among locals, starts about thirty kilometers from Bahawalpur and covers approximately 16,000 square kilometers of land. Encompassing Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan districts and extends to Thar Desert in Sindh. The Cholistan desert is home to a variety of tourist attractions such as wildlife, including many species of birds and animals that are unique to the region. It also boasts historical landmarks like forts, temples, and tombs of spiritual and religious leaders. More outdoor activities like rally racing, hunting, cattle shows and festivals. A resort is needed in Cholistan desert that reflects the culture and traditional architecture creating a great vision towards the Southern Punjab Desert. The essentials of Cholistan traditions will be used to preserve the values of its people and to attract tourists. Qasar Al sarab desert resort and Al maha desert resort and spa in Dubai are my inspiration. Both the resorts have been made using its people cultural and traditional values and refine elements that clearly respects the values of people. The Resort Design project will begin with the aim of giving value to Cholistan desert locally and internationally. It is a project of creating an attractive environment of Cholistani identity which is influenced by the culture and traditions. Another main aim of this project is to promote tourism. This will also attract investors to invest for their business in this area. Using mirrors, mud plaster and rough woods a space will be created that would look attractive. Moreover, fountains and calligraphy will be used to add beauty. Earth tone color pallet will be used as well. The area is fully covered by desert.
