Item Alternative Dispute Resolution and Adjudication(UMT, Lahore, 2021) Muhammad ShoaibCommercial tensions have risen in tandem with the expansion of trade liberalization. Countries are debating how to deal with extreme trade conflicts and have enacted legislation to track trade disputes and put in place effective dispute resolution mechanisms. For some countries involved in various types of trade disputes, Alternative dispute resolution is the preferred method of resolution. Alternative dispute resolution is your first option. This paper discusses the importance of resolving trade disputes in Pakistan, as well as the implementation and application of alternative dispute resolution. The first chapter gives a general overview of the topic, as well as a brief history of Alternative dispute resolution. This study is only concerned with PakistanItem Automation of bioler using PLC and microcontroller(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Muhammad Abuzar; Muhammad Shoaib; Tahir SaleemDesigning of a PLC and microcontroller based controlled autoclave which consist of boiler with keypad interfacing involves automated operation for the production of steam. Our designed autoclave system monitors temperature, pressure and water level via different sensor's which provides input to Micro controller and PLC. PLC and Micro controller controls the boiler temperature, pressure and water level and gives out the user required values. Temperature and pressure variations are shown on LCD and user set different functions of autoclave for different surgeries such as general surgery, Ortho, heart and brain surgery, so the parameters temperature and pressure for sterilization of medical instruments sets according to the sterilization quality. We have used safety and other check valves for safety measures.Safety valve works automatically to release pressure in case of emergency. Our design is so compact it can work automatically as well as manually.Item Quality of life of Elderly People Living in Aafiat Center, Narowal.(UMT.Lahore, 2023) Muhammad ShoaibOld-age homes are not a regular feature in Pakistani society. However, the concept of old homes and similar facilities is increasing for many reasons. In this research, we have concentrated on Aafiat center, a facility in Narowal that provides shelter to older people who do not have any other place to live. More senior people come here for various reasons, which this research discusses in detail. This qualitative research uses thematic analysis to identify the quality of life in under discussion facility. In addition, participants were interviewed to determine different aspects of their lives. Most residents have been there since their partner died and have no place to live. Moreover, their children are not willing to keep them in their homes. Since there is friction among them or they cannot afford to keep them in homes.Item Smart grid architecture and communication using heterogeneous communication techniques in different tiers((POWERENG), Turkey, Istanbul., 2013) Waqas Tariq Toor; Muhammad Basit Shahab; Muhammad Shoaib; Asif Hussain; Mashood NasirThis paper discusses different communication techniques in different tiers of architecture of smart grid. Communication is what differentiates between conventional and smart grids. Existing communication techniques can be used for the communication among different grids. Each communication technique has some pros and cons. If same communication technology is used for the whole network, it may be advantageous in certain scenario or tier but may not be beneficial in other tiers. This paper presents the idea of using different communication techniques for different tiers. The main objective is to use the advantage of a communication technique in a certain tier without bearing its disadvantage in any other tier. Different topologies of grid connectivity are discussed and communication techniques are also proposed and discussed accordingly. Priority and data rate for the data sent by the grids is also taken care of in proposing these techniques. Since different communication techniques are used at each level, interoperability is an important issue. Different problems are addressed and solution are proposed.Item Smart grid traffic modeling and scheduling using 3gpp lte for efficient communication with reduced ran delays(Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2013) Muhammad Basit Shahab; Asif Hussain; Muhammad ShoaibThere has been a dramatic improvisation in communication technologies during the last two decades. This in turn has evolved as a great source of strength to ideas regarding implementation of smart grids. This paper has three basic emphasis areas. At first, it presents a smart grid top to down hierarchy tree based traffic model by considering the different types of information carrying traffic travelling between multiple nodes of a smart grid. This is done by analyzing the multiple functions performed by a smart grid. After that 3GPP LTE is addressed as the most promising communication backbone for smart grid environment. Its performance has been analyzed in terms of high data rates, improved coverage and reduced Scheduling and Transmission delays. In the end, a priority based queuing technique for smart grid traffic is proposed by categorizing the smart grid traffic into different classes with each class representing a different type of information/data. This results in reducing the queuing delays of traffic at end and intermediate nodes. It has been shown through results that the proposed traffic modeling, scheduling and queuing result in reduced Random Access Network (RAN) delays.
