DESIGN AND DEVELPOMENT OF AN AIR DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR COCKPIT INSTRUMENTS (ASI, VVI)
(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Muhammad Rayyan Khan, Muhammad Yousef and Nasir Javed
In the modern-day world, WT technology have been emerging and succeeding in its acceptance and convenience as different types of WTs are developed now to produce different speeds. This report is based on the construction and working of an OC low-cost subsonic WT to produce about 0.3 Mach. It consists of different sections in which a contraction cone, test section, and diffuser are the main sections. The length of the WT is 2.7m. Information that is gained from the wind tunnel through the measuring gadgets like anemometer can be used to improve the design of objects affected by the controlled airflow. Besides the aircraft, this technology is also used in automobiles. Keywords --- Wind tunnel, subsonic flow, contraction cone, test section, diffuser.

DESIGN AND DEVELPOMENT OF AN AIR DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR COCKPIT INSTRUMENTS (ASI, VVI)
(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Muhammad Rayyan Khan, Muhammad Yousef and Nasir Javed
Pitot Static system is a control system which is a must have for every flight. A Pilot must be well aware of the system and how it works in order to use it to its full extent. This system is used to give out the correct Aircraft speed through an Airspeed indicator and the speed at which the aircraft is climbing or descending though a vertical velocity indicator. It uses two different pressures i.e Dynamic pressure and Static pressure. The following report contains an extensive literature review with relevant research papers which will enables the reader to understand the very basics of the system. The reader will be able to understand how the equipment’s in Pitot static system i.e. Pitot tube and static port and the instruments i.e. ASI and VVI work and how they are used. Similarly, they will also be able to understand what role the two pressure i.e. Dynamic pressure and static pressure play in the system. At the end of the report is given a small project in which a Pitot Static system was created through scrap materials. The project helps in understanding how different pressures can be generated at sea level and how can they be used to create reading on the instrument. By the end of the report are also given results which were produced after the project was created.
