    AL-FURQAN is an independent and fully functional application having an Arabic/Urdu Database linked with it as backend. An OTF is used for Arabic/Urdu text to store in the database which is compatible with almost all other windows application. As basic feature, a searching facility is available in the software. Using searching facility one can search the verses of the Holy Quran about a specific topic by entering a keyword for search in Urdu. Verses whose Urdu translation contains the keyword are fetched out form the database and display to the user. User of this application may range from beginners to advance level because a simple and user fnendly interface is provided for performing functions. MS Access database is used for storing verses and Urdu translation. MS Access is selected because of its portability feature. For user interface VB6 is used.
