Item Cocoa beans(UMT Lahore, 2024-02-14) Muhammad Awais AshrafAll my thesis work is done under the inspiration of Cocoa Beans. The thesis aims to create designs, compositions, or different fabric samples using different techniques by some means using a different theme; cocoa beans, a symbol of fertility and life in Mesoamerican cultures. The seeds of the Theobroma Cacao tree are known as Cocoa Beans. They are an essential component of beverages, candies, and chocolate bonbons. To give the beans depth and fully develop their chocolate smells, they are gathered, fermented, dried, and then roasted. The Maya, Toltec, and Aztec peoples first cultivated the cacao tree more than 3,000 years ago. They utilized cacao beans to make a drink (possibly as a ceremonial drink) and as currency. The cacao tree was revered by the Maya, who thought of chocolate as the meal of the gods. The Forastero, Criollo, and Trinitario cultivars of cocoa are the three most common types. With 80–90% of the world's cocoa production, the first is the most popular. The Criollo kind of cocoa beans is rare and prized for its delicacy. Criollo and Forastero types were crossed to create Trinitario with superior yields and more disease resistance. My inspiration for Cocoa Bean is mainly because I just got fed up with all the other topics like floral, geometric, Kalash, mandala, and animations all the previous fellows worked on. After doing some research, I found it a bit interesting. Only a few students had previously worked on these types of topics like beans, and nuts. So, in the end, I decided on a topic to work on. And, my final products are installations. Installation art is a type of visual artwork that can be produced using a variety of materials and techniques. Summarizing the story, through all of my work and designs, I tried to make a progressive contribution to the market and influence the direction towards new or innovative ideas.
