    Comparison of level of socialization of hearing-impaired students studying in public and private schools
    (UMT, Lahore, 2023) MUHAMMAD ZEESHAN HAIDER
    This study was conducted to know the level of socialization of hearing-impaired students studying in public and private schools. Socialization is a complex and ongoing process that plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's personality, values, and worldview, while also contributing to the overall stability and functioning of a society. Socialization helps individuals understand the unwritten rules of their society, shaping their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors to align with the prevailing social norms. The researcher used Convenience Sampling techniques and to collect data from 60 hearing impaired students studying in public and private schools in Lahore. After a literature review and create a questionnaire which comprised 36 closed-ended items which are based on checking the level of socialization of hearing impaired students. The collected data by self from three private and two public schools and analyzed by using SPSS. The research shows that the level of socialization in the behavioral dimension was good in private schools and overall socialization were also good and public schools was weak. A proactive strategy known as "positive behavior support" aims to educate and reinforce beneficial behaviors while reducing negative ones.
