Item Cyber-security enhancement in smart grid systems(UMT, Lahore, 2021) MUHAMMAD MOHSIN ALIThe Smart Grid power system is one of the most significant IoT applications. It will bestow the powerful solution to boost the power grid's efficiency and revolutionize modern industries. SG is an energy supply network that uses digital communications technology. While the ICT (information and communication technologies) are developed and enforced in power grid systems so the enhancement of smart grid CPS (cyber-physical systems) rises too. SG is a critical infrastructure also they have complex architecture and include critical devices. The major thing that increases the complication in power is consumer demand and increasing load. It could lead to a brownout, blackout, loss of life, and extensive economic damage when the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the communication is run down as well as the current electrical network growing critical carbon emissions and foremost dealing with cyber-attacks. However, the Smart Grid technology originates with vulnerabilities and complications especially for securing information which is the most vital concern. This massive system could be vulnerable to cyber assaults. That is why to enhance SG security in academia, government, and industry a lot of research effort is performed. With a lot of benefits such as smartness of system equipment, expense reduction, and time-saving IoT apps also have a drawback like “security” that could not be ignored. Protection techniques for security are vital to improving solutions against cyber assault in SG. By overviewing the previous work, we have presented a comprehensive summary. More ever the latest advances with countermeasures are presented on SG cyber-security. In this research, the problems and their possible solution for SG are analyzed. By focusing on cyber-attacks, we have provided comprehensive cybersecurity for SG. Mostly we focus on the debate and examining of weaknesses, attacks countermeasures, and security requirements. We aim to deliver a deep understanding of cyber-security weaknesses and solutions. We also have provided a completer guide on future research directions for cyber-security in SG applications.Item Impact of teaching with controlling attention diversion behavior of students on their achievement in geography at elementary level(UMT.Lahore, 2018) MUHAMMAD MOHSIN ALITeaching and learning is directly affected by, both, the focused and the diverted behavior of the students. Teaching style has a great importance in controlling the attention diversion behavior of the students which cover and focuses the areas of inappropriate behavior, on task learning time of students, minimizing external effects on learning and ultimately enhancing the achievement of the students. Researcher has used randomized pre-test post-test control group design to conduct this experimental study. The population of this study was grade eighth students of Lahore Grammar School, Johar Town. The sample size comprised of the two sections, for control and experimental group, out of six for which each section comprised of thirty students each. The groups were selected through randomization. The randomization took place on the basis of the prior results, of both the groups, of all the subjects. The students of the experimental group were given the treatment of interventions in the form of the instructions, incorporated in lesson planning, to check the impact of teaching with controlling the attention diversion behavior. The instrument used to see the impact of teaching with controlling attention diversion behavior of the students before and after the treatment was pretest and posttest. Data was analyzed by applying independent sample t-test & paired sample t-test. On the basis of results the researcher rejected the null hypothesis (H0) showing significant difference was found in the achievement of the students in Geography at elementary school level on the basis of teaching through controlling the attention diversion behavior of the students. Researcher recommended that the study is calling the need to have more studies related to teaching learning process particularly classroom interaction patterns.
