    DETERMINANTS OF BUSINESS PROFITABILITY AND SUCCESS FOR FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESSES

    The family owned businesses are very much concerned about the determinants of profitability. It is important for understanding the relationship among the different variables. The age, education, gender, health and level of liabilities are all critical factors for the profitability of the family owned businesses. The research study was explanatory as it required collection of 100 questionnaires from different respondents. The variables that are important for the research study. The analysis was done using the SPSS software for assessing the statistical information. The information clearly revealed that the age did not have a huge impact on the profitability or sustainability of family owned businesses. The most important factor is the health, then level of liability, then education and finally the gender that determines the profitability of the family owned businesses. The information is critical for such businesses and also for future researcher that will be conducting the research based on similar research model.
