PROFFESIONAL ETHICS OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AND PATIENT SATISFATION
    (UMT.lahore, 2019) MONISHA AFZAL
This research investigates the relationship between patients’ satisfaction and the healthcare providers’ professional ethic. This study is based on the theory of protestant ethic which was proposed by Max Weber. The hypothesis of this study is based on the fact that when the healthcare providers practice higher level of professional ethics then ultimately it will result in higher level of patients’ satisfaction. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire technique. Hypothesis of this study holds true and the results indicate that when the healthcare providers practice higher level of professional ethics then it impacts the satisfaction level of patients. Results indicate that greater the professional ethics being served by healthcare providers, the greater will be patients’ satisfaction. The current study highlighted that there is an impact of gender of healthcare provider in patients’ satisfaction and patients tend to be satisfied more when the healthcare service provider is male and patients tend to be more satisfied from doctors rather than paramedical staff workers. Further, research shows that young doctors contribute more in patients’ satisfaction as compared to older doctors. This study also highlighted a very interesting fact that relationship status of doctors also impact patients’ satisfaction, patients felt more satisfaction from single doctors (healthcare service providers) as compared to the married ones.
