(UMT Lahore, 2014) MISBAH KANWAL RAJA
Present study was carried out to explore the life experiences of women involved in prostitution using a narrative oriented inquiry with in broader framework of qualitative research. A narrative interview guide was prepared and four women with ages ranging from 25 to 35 years were interviewed in detail. Women narratives were analyzed in terms of fibula (content), sjuzet (form), and later, categorical content analysis was carried out. Fabula presents the major events of their lives such as poverty, whereas sjuzet is how women think about their lives such as helplessness or perpetual deception from people. Categorical content analysis revealed themes such as psychological disturbances, loneliness, and identity transformation. The findings are explainable in both in terms of global perspectives on prostitution as well as local, contextualized settings. Implications of the research can be in terms of providing better psychological support to these women and advocacy at policy level.

Pornography and marital satisfaction among married couples (qualitative inquiry)
(UMT Lahore, 2017) MISBAH KANWAL RAJA
The prominence and convenience of pornography in public space has enlarged intensely over the last era. In many eastern societies, among them Pakistan, there is a wide-spread distress about the implications and consequences of this behavioral problem, especially for young people. This research tries to remedy this by asking married couples about their experiences, views and marital satisfaction with relationships to pornography. In this study data were collected through semi structured interviews and sample consisted of three married couples, with the age range of 25- 35 years of age. The findings indicated that increasing accessibility of pornography has contributed to a process of standardization with regard to married couples specially males attitudes behavior in relation to pornography. This change, however, is related to both age and gender, which allows us to talk about gender specific pornography businesses. This study also confirms the influence and growing importance of the pornography effects negatively and leading cause of porn addiction, lack of understanding in relationship and separation among married couples. Seventeen major themes from female participants and fourteen major themes from male participants were emerged from data. Wives seems to have the psychological distress and marital dissatisfaction due to the habit of consuming porn by their husbands, on the other hand male consumption of pornography brings marital satisfaction and level of intimacy and provides aid against stressful situations in their life. Growing up in a society with an easily accessible pornography both lead to a resolved view on sexuality and to a dangerous and thoughtful attitude.
