    Factors affecting the new emerging and modern construction techniques in pakistan

    The Pakistani Construction Industry has always been of economic and social significance to the country. The construction industry in Pakistan consumes almost 80% of the National Development Budget and pays the highest tax per million. As per the Economic Survey of Pakistan 2010-2011, the construction industry posted the lowest growth in a decade a marginal 0.8 percent in FY 10. In developing countries, Construction Industry is used for poverty alleviation by providing employments. In contrast to the prospective share of Pakistani construction in the local and global economic market, conversely, the development of the sector has not been at par with the market demands. Pakistan is not performing to its full capacity, it is nonetheless of vital importance to the country. As one of Pakistan's most developed sectors, growth in this industry is crucial for increasing national GDP. The same may be said for many other developing countries. Pakistan is likewise dealing with serious project management challenges, the most obvious of which is a cost overrun. Currently, the country facing many challenges in the implementation of modern construction techniques to build better with fewer resources and time. This research is to study the factor affecting modern construction techniques. The questionnaire consisting of 16 items was used for the collection of data and distribute among 110 engineers. SPSS was used for the analysis. By doing exponential factor analysis indicates that capacity building, workplace environment, and management of material are the important factors that affect the implementation of modern construction techniques. The cluster analysis results indicate that the two groups of responders are present one suggests that the capacity building of labor and management of labor is the major factors for the delay in the project Statistical analysis results show that the chronic back alpha value for the data is 0.783.
