Challenges for inquiry and knowledge in social construction of reality
(Journal of Social Research & Policy., 2015) Naveda Kitchlew; Khuram Shehzad; Samiullah Bajwa
As ‘social construction’ philosophy has found footings in contemporary field of knowledge and inquiry, scientists interested in exploring social phenomenon tend to develop relevant methods. However, there exists a philosophical critique on the efficacy of inquirers to accurately explore socially constructed realities and consequent creation of knowledge to be attributed as a real scientific knowledge. This paper aims to argue and expound how the philosophical assumptions behind the conception of socially constructed nature of reality are informed by the principles of scientific inquiry and creation of knowledge.

    Localization in warehouse using robot
(UMT Lahore, 2021) Ali Sohail; Mujtaba Amer; Khuram Shehzad
Trend is changing with the passage of time and now robots are used everywhere. The robots are mainly used in warehouse for localization, picking up heavy objects and to do multiple tasks. Our main focus is on the localization in a warehouse. There are traditional methods that being are used for localization like line follower techniques and in techniques like these the robots doesn’t operate autonomously. We want to make an autonomous robot that will move from one place to the other by its own. For the mapping of the environment, we are using a technique known as SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). Our prototype consists of a robot chassis, a Raspberry Pi as main controller and a laser sensor known as Kinect XBOX 360. The assembled robot can be first place in an environment and then it will build a map and it will then move through the environment by avoiding obstacles.
