    (UMT.Lahore, 2024) Khuram Latif
While “global warming” describes rising average temperatures, it does not fully capture the broader and more complex nature of climate change. Flood disasters are a significant global phenomenon with devastating impacts on communities. Flooding occurs when high-intensity water flow breaches natural and man-made barriers, leading to widespread destruction of homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods. The August 2022 flood disaster in DG Khan, Pakistan, provides a significant case study of the complex impacts of natural disasters. The catastrophic flooding, driven by melting glaciers and intense monsoon rains, led to the destruction of approximately 897,014 homes, widespread economic loss, and considerable human casualties. This study investigates the impact of the 2022 flood disaster on the lives of people in DG Khan, Pakistan. The purposive sampling technique and involved 15 participants, both male and female to get detailed insight about the effects of disaster on the lives of the people living in DG Khan, Pakistan.
