    Temperament, self esteem and eating problems in female college students

    The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship among temperament, self-esteem and eating problems in our culture. In this study 4 measures were used from which 2 were the indigenous scale named as Temperament Scale (Durani, Mahmood, & Saleem, 2017)and Self-esteem scale (Zafar, Saleem, & Mahmood, 2012). The third scale was named as EDQ(Fairburn &Beglin, 1994). A demographic form was also used in order to measure the demographic characteristics of the participants (N=400). The sample was consisting on (N=400) participants and all were female. All the participants were college students of 1st year &2nd year and their age range was 15-19. Correlation and regression was used in order to see the relationship among all factors. Results showed that impulsivity is positively correlated with eating problems similarly anxiousness and low self-esteem have positive relationship in the expression of eating disorder.
