    Importance of school self-evaluation

    Schools are the breeding grounds for the future generations. They are integral pillars of the society and help shape the society at large. Teachers are an integral part of the process of education. Their capabilities are central to the whole learning process. The purpose of this research study is to explore the impacts of SSE on the capacity building of the teachers along with their professional and personal development. The researcher looked to find answer on how to achieve the goals of effective schooling. Qualitative techniques were used gauge the answers to the research questions. In depth interviews, case study, observation and document analysis was done in order to get a comprehensive and exhaustive answer to the research questions. The findings show that SSE has a very positive impact on the teachers, students and school as a whole. Teachers consider SSE as a positive practice while helps them improve. Teachers adopt different new ideas and tactics of teaching as a result of these evaluations. The SSE enables them to improve their performance and enhance their capabilities. SSE is the cycle of change for improvement, betterment in teaching styles of the teachers and effective administration; all of these lead to effective schooling
