    Relationship of instructional supervision and teacher’s motivation in private schools of lahore

    The instruction supervision and teacher’s motivation plays a fundamental role in success and betterment of schools. In this research, the relationship between teacher’s motivation and instructional leadership is measured quantitatively with focus on private schools of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The sample data is collected from 440 school teachers using stratified random sampling from multiple institutes comprising both male and female candidates. The Cronbach’s alpha for Instructional Supervision Survey was 0.916, while it was 0.846 for Teacher Motivation Survey. The data is analyzed using Descriptive and inferential statistics which showed that instructional supervision plays a major role in teachers’ motivation. The results indicate that Principals visit classrooms more often during lectures, guide teachers for better classroom experience whereas teacher feel self-confident and explore different methods to deliver class lectures. The Principal and teachers develop trust and work together to build up teaching expertise. Key words: Instructional supervision, teacher motivation, private schools.
