Item Personality traits(UMT.Lahore, 2021) Iqra Tahir; Rabia Asghar; Muizza SharukhThe present study investigated the relationship between personality traits, homesickness and well-being among hostelite student. Correlation (cross sectional) research design has been used in this research. The sample comprised of N=335 (males= 167 and females=168) with age range of 18-35(M= 22.4, SD =2.07). Three assessment measures were used to assess the study variables personality traits scale (Goldberg, 1999), homesickness scale (Stroebe, 2002) and psychological well-being scale PWB (Ryff, 1995). The correlational analysis reveals that Personality trait (extraversion and agreeableness) was found positively related with homesickness and three dimensions of psychological well-being for example (autonomy, purpose in life and self-acceptance).And negatively relationship of personality traits (conscientious, emotional stability and intellect) with homesickness and three dimensions of psychological well-being, (autonomy purpose in life and self-acceptance). Meanwhile homesickness was found positively related with three dimension of psychological well being autonomy, purpose in life and self-acceptance. Moreover, negatively relationship of homesickness with three dimension of psychological well-being, environmental mastery, personal growth and positive relation with other. Multiple hierarchical regression analysis revealed that personality traits (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientious, emotional stability and intellect) and homesickness was found predictor of psychological well-being dimensions (autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, purpose in life, positive relation with other and self-acceptance). Moreover, the independent sample t-test indicated gender differences in terms of personality trait, homesickness and psychological wellbeing.Item Sanctimoniousness, work volition, mobbing, ostracism and conflict management among university teachers(UMT Lahore, 2024) Iqra TahirThe present study investigated the relationship between sanctimoniousness, work volition, mobbing, ostracism and conflict management among university teachers. It was hypothesized that there is likely to be a relationship between sanctimonious, work volition, mobbing, ostracism and conflict management in university teachers. Correlation research design has been used in this research. The sample comprised of N=300 (males=144, female=156) with the age range of 25-60 (M= 35.61; SD =7.28). Three assessment measures were used to assess the study variables including self-righteousness scale, work volition scale, Luxembourg workplace mobbing scale, workplace ostracism scale and conflict management styles scale. The correlation analysis revealed that sanctimoniousness significantly negatively correlate with ostracism and significantly positively correlate with three dimensions of conflict management collaborating, compromising and obliging. Work volition significantly positively correlate with five dimensions of conflict management collaborating, compromising, avoiding, competing and dominating and significantly negatively correlate with ostracism. Ostracism significantly negatively correlate with four dimensions of conflict management collaborating, compromising, obliging and competing there was a predicting role of work volition, and ostracism on conflict management dimension collaborating, competing, compromising, avoiding, obliging and dominating. Work volition and its sub scale mediate the ostracism, gender and conflict management. Moreover, significant gender differences were found in work volition and conflict management. The study can be beneficial for organizations to promote citizenship behavior among employees.
