An Investigative Review into the Problems of Interest in Islamic Finance from Islamic Jurisprudential Perspectives
(UMT, Lahore, 2021) Imdad ullah Mehmood
In Islamic law, Islamic financing is, any Halal business dealing in Halal modes of trades comprising total or minimum share of its total investment in form of assets, such as stock market, stock exchange or Voting Shares in Islamic banks. The determination of the minimum share is at the discretion of the management of a business. There are many forms of Islamic financing in the world today, most of which are found in Islamic banks. Many Islamic scholars believe that these common forms of Islamic financing are not in accordance with Shari'a principles, so they make scholarly and jurisprudential objections to it. Our discussion here is about Islamic financing.
