    Reduction of faults in sewing on denim garment

    Stitching is the major process of garment industry. In this section, the faults that occur are countless. On the other hand, we need to be vigilant towards these faults and keep an eye on them to eliminate them to improve our production process, quality as well as to save our time and cost. Our main focus is to check the Faults which are occurring in the line and to give quick remedies to some of them. Sewing fault in the garments industry is a common issue that effects the smooth production. Focusing on faults can put a good impact on overall factory economy. Minimization of sewing fault is a must for quality and productivity improvement. Sewing fault is an issue for poor quality product and low production rate. There is no ready-made solution that can reduce rejection percentage overnight. Each order is unique. But this paper work suggests how to handle such problems and bring down rejection rate to minimum with quality production. Sewing fault increases of rework time, causes of sewing fault poor product quality. So, the main purpose of this project is Minimization of the sewing fault and reworking cost save. We did this project in US Apparel’s Stitching no 6. Checked many faults comprising of major, minor and critical at initial levels. At the end, we decided to check up on 2 stitching lines. The things that we observed is the handling of operator, how the faults are occurring in line and their quality inspection standard. The method which we have chosen to remove these faults is done by 7/0 system.
