    Speak to perform
(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Junaid Asghar; Qandil Shahzad; Ahmad Hassan; Butt, Ali Amin
Automatic recognition of people is a challenging problem which has received much attention during recent years due to its many applications in different fields. Automatic speech recognition performs well under restricted conditions but the performance get worse in noisy environments. Our main purpose of the project was to develop a voice recognition system through which we could operate certain commands of computer e.g. open my computer, shut down computer etc. and we have been very much successful in completing our project. We have searched various computer languages in which we could work and we have far felt better with HMM (hidden Markov model) and Java. We have been fully able to train our computer and complete our project. The development methodology chosen was used to reduce the risk, should the project not be fully completed on time and to be adaptive to unforeseen changes.
