    Job Satisfaction Level of Teachers at Private Colleges in Lahore

    Job Satisfaction is the quantity of overall positive feeling that individuals have towards their jobs. Since a nation's progress depends on the quality of education, which in turn depends on the quality of the teachers, the quality of teaching is well related with the satisfaction of the teachers towards their job. The present study attempts to study the factors that conclude job satisfaction level of private college teachers towards their profession.Furthermore, it is generally expected that there is a relation between overall job satisfaction and nine factors like pay, promotion, supervision, benefits, conditional rewards, operating condition, coworkers, nature of work and communication. The quality of the teachers depends on various factors such as level of academic excellence, commitment to teaching, passion to impart knowledge, motivation of teachers, and adequate fulfillment of teacher’s expectations which willultimately result in job satisfaction. A teacher, who is happy with his job, plays a pivotal role.
