Error analysis of the written english of l.L.B students in lahore: a case study
    (UMT Lahore, 2018) Arooj Khan
The aim of this research was to understand the English language proficiency level of the lawyers in Lahore. The objective was to identify the common language errors committed by first year L.L.B students in Lahore, its causes and the consequences of these errors on the future of their careers. Based on the results of the case study adopted as a research tool, suggestions were drawn from the findings to help improve and correct such errors. For identifying the student’s common grammatical errors, samples of creative writing (essay) were collected. After that, errors such as incorrect usage of verbs, nouns, adverbs and other parts of speech, mother tongue interference and other grammatical categories were noted and represented through pie-charts. Moreover, this research provided helpful information, analysis and discussion on different errors that are usually found during the second language learning process of Pakistani students. The findings of the study can be useful for further research of error analysis, particularly for ESL learners at higher level.
