    Security has always been an issue if we go in the past we will come to know that even at that time the society was not clear of crimes the people of that time also used different methods to secure their places and belongings. They used fences, built caves for securing themselves. Even in the modern era as the technology is evolving, the number of crimes is increasing in numbers. This makes people to spend a lot of money for securing themselves. So in the fast developing world today, the need to secure our belongings like cars and home from remote location is becoming a necessity. This project titled “HOME MONITORING SYSTEM” aims at securing our home from a remote location. We have use the GSM technology for communicating between the user and the home controller. This project can be extended by adding more functionality like increasing the number of sensors and by introducing new technologies like image processing so that to make it more effective .
