    Temperament, self -concept and mental health problems in medical, engineering and business administration students

    This study provides the relationship among temperament, self concept and mental health of university students. In the current research, a sample of 450 participants was selected through stratified sampling technique with age range of 18-25(M22.50,SD,1.84) from three degree progarme (Medical, 150),Engineering(148), Business Administration(152).All the participants were given the Temperament Scale, Self-Concept Scale and Student Problem Checklist with demographic form. The result revealed that temperament has found to have a significant relationship with self concept and mental health. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that apprehension, Impulsivity, Causiousness and positive self concept has significant relationship with mental health. Anova results showed that temperament and self concept has positive relationship with mental health problems. This study is likely to introduce the phenomena of mental health in university student who help individuals to stay focused and determined, as they often experience mental health problems.
