    A study on the behavioral management techniques used by the teachers for students with autism
    (UMT, Lahore, 2023) Abdul Rehman Mashriqi; Nimra Nawaz
    Autism spectrum disorders have their behavior issues because of their issues teachers face challenges about their behavior management. The goal of the research was to explore the behavior issues faced by teachers during session and the management practices of teachers using during their work. The sample of the study was 8 teachers selected by using purposive sampling technique. The study was exploratory in nature and the researcher conducted semi-structured interviews to collect the data. Behavioral issues faced by teachers involve, self-harming emotions, sensory overloaded, hand flapping, lack of attention, aggression, negative behaviors. Teachers use strategies to overcome the behavioral issues of ASD students include, Reinforcement, task analysis, learning through games, time out and interest-based activities etc. The recommendation that was analyzed by this research is that that the school should organize regular training sessions for the special education teachers. Second, we suggest that the school should increase the session time for the special education teachers and their students.
