An analytical study of students and teachers’ perceptions about intermediate english textbooks of punjab board
    (UMT.Lahore, 2023) Abdul Razzaq
The study explores that intermediate-level English textbooks recommended by the Punjab Board are perceived differently by both students and teachers. The purpose of the study is to assess how well the textbooks help students to improve their English language skills and to spot any discrepancies between student and instructor viewpoints. The research intends to offer insights into the strengths and shortcomings of the present materials and recommend areas for improvement in textbook production and usage by looking at the content, organization, and relevance of the textbooks. The study’s research questions are concerned with how students and teachers view the English textbooks, whether these perspectives are similar or dissimilar, and how effective the textbooks are at fostering language competency. A closed questionnaire was used to gather information from 231 participants, comprising 122 pupils and 109 instructors. The gathered data was analyzed using statistical methods including independent t-tests and descriptive statistics. Based on the results it can be concluded that the intermediate English textbooks recommended by the Punjab Board have both strengths and weaknesses. In order to improve students learning and help instructors in their instructional practices, the research offers suggestions for improving the content, structure, and teaching strategies related with these textbooks. This study helps to understand how instructors and students view English textbooks, laying the groundwork for future advancements in textbook usage and development. The knowledge acquired from this study can help teachers, textbook writers, and curriculum designers in their attempts to improve students' English language ability.

(UMT Lahore, 2014) Muhammad Jabbar; Abdul Razzaq; Irfan Sattar; Muhammad Jawad Khalil
Due to the lack of attention of drivers, road accidents are very common all over the world. Facts on traffic accidents state that driver’s mistake is the major reason of loss and harm on roads all over the world every day. In this paper we described a module for intelligent driver monitoring system to decrease the extent of such losses which can automatically detects the driver distraction. We present a system for driver’s distraction detection which is caused by the driver’s varying head position. Our detection scheme is based on a geometric shape triangle. This paper expresses the techniques to monitor driver safety by evaluating information associated to the visual features of the driver. This monitoring system normally works based on driving prototype, driver’s video and images.

The impact of nutritional status and its association with cardiorespiratory fitness among young soccer athletes
(UMT, Lahore, 2025) Abdul Razzaq; Laraib pervaiz
Optimal nutritional health/status of an athlete is essential for athlete performance, particularly in sports like football that need a high level of strength, agility, and endurance. Cardiorespiratory fitness is one of the most crucial indicators of an athlete's overall physical performance and aerobic capacity. However, it's unclear how CRF and football players' nutritional state relate to one another. Therefore, this study is aimed to explore the nutritional status of young soccer players, simultaneously assessing the association between nutritional status and cardiorespiratory fitness in young soccer athletes. The study was conducted on soccer athletes of Lahore in various clubs and sports centers (n = 178). Data was collected through survey questionnaire and clinical assessments utilizing Beep Test, and BMI/A. Consistent results were generated with reference to the published literature depicting non significant correlation between nutritional status and cardiorespiratory fitness in male athletes compared to female athletes where positive correlation of nutritional status with cardiorespiratory fitness was found. The results emphasise the importance of adequate food choices and nutrition-focused treatments in sports training programs to maximise athletic performance and health outcomes.
