    The hybrid learning oasis
    (UMT.Lahore, 2025) ALI HASSAN
Raiwind, Lahore, is a rapidly developing area with universities, medical colleges, and expanding residential societies, but it lacks essential public spaces for education, collaboration, and cultural engagement. Currently, students must travel long distances to outdated libraries like the Quaid-e-Azam Library, limiting access to modern learning resources and creating a barrier to productive study. The aim of this project is to design a biophilic and high-tech hybrid library that fills this gap and addresses the needs of the growing local community. This library will be more than just a place to read; it will serve as a multifunctional hub where students, professionals, and residents can access co-working spaces, collaborative learning environments, and exhibition areas. Natural elements like daylight, indoor greenery, and open, airy spaces will create a calming and productive atmosphere, while smart technologies and interactive features will support modern learning and professional collaboration. The goal of this hybrid library is to establish an inclusive and sustainable educational and cultural center for the people of Raiwind and surrounding developing societies, where they can come together for learning, creativity, and collaboration in an engaging and innovative environment.
