Healing Architecture:

Mental wellness is the basic aspect of an individual’s health (Puren et al., 2021). Architecture plays a pivotal role in shaping environments that can contribute positively to mental well-being. Understanding the gravity of mental health issues on a global scale provides the impetus for investigating innovative architectural solutions. There is a significant connection between the built environment and mental well-being, exposure to nature and environment like views of green spaces or access to daylight, positively impacted psychological well-being and reduced stress levels in independent with mental health disorders. The research was conducted through the case study and survey methods. The summarized results showed that the adoption of the environmental features and provision of the outdoor rehabilitation areas can speed up the recovery smoothly. This research concluded with the formulation of the framework comprising of the healing architecture for successful rehabilitation of the mental illness in the mental health facilities.
