Item A study of different patterns of educational placement of children with autism(UMT, Lahore, 2011) SANA IJAZ; ALIA YOUNASThis study investigated the different patterns of educational placement of children with autism. For this purpose 24 administrators working in the 9 schools of Lahore, were selected through convenient sampling. It was a descriptive study and was conducted with the help of a questionnaire. This questionnaire was developed by the researchers. It reached to acceptable level of reliability. The main objectives of the study were to identify the referral system for children with autism, to investigate the assessment procedure of children with autism in schools and to identify the different educational setting offered by the schools. The data were collected by the researchers themselves. Then it was tabulated and analyzed by the help of SPSS. It was concluded that majority of the administrators place students with autism in segregation setting. However they also revealed that these students should be educated in inclusive educational system. The relationship between demographic variables and the different patterns of educational placement of children with autism was also analyzed. The results should that there is no significant difference in the patterns of educational placement of children with autism on the basis of the qualification, institutions and gender of the respondents
