The study examines the effect of disgust as a mediator between religiosity and OC tendencies. A sample consists of 75 diagnosed OCD patients and 75 non-clinical individuals. Purposive sampling was used. Correlational research design was used in the research. Age range of the individual is from 20 to 50.Mean value is 1.74 and standard deviation value is .440.Data was analyzed by using different analysis. The results demonstrated that disgust, religiosity and OC tendencies were significantly correlated with each other. Mediation analysis revealed that disgust plays a mediator role between OC tendencies and religiosity. Results demonstrate that disgust and OC tendencies were significantly correlated with each other. Difference between disgust and OC tendencies was seen in clinical and non-clinical individuals whereas; religiosity shows no difference between both populations. These findings indicate that the tendency for highly religious Muslims to experience greater OC tendencies is related to their disgust sensitivity.
