The Archaeological Research Centre at Taxila is envisioned as a dedicated facility for the study, preservation, and promotion of Pakistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage. This thesis explores the design of a multidisciplinary hub that merges research, conservation, education, and public engagement under one roof. Located in a historically significant area, the center aims to support archaeologists, scholars, students, and visitors by offering advanced laboratory facilities, exhibition areas, and residential accommodations. Drawing on lessons from global case studies and local site analysis, the design prioritizes contextual sensitivity, environmental sustainability, and spatial integration. This project aspires to fill the existing gaps in heritage infrastructure and provide a model for future archaeological institutions in the region.
