Item Analyzing the legal framework for corporate governance in the USA and Pakistan: a comparative study(UMT Lahore, 2024-08-20) Aamir KhanThis research study provides a comparative analysis of the legal frameworks for corporate governance in the USA and Pakistan. The research aims to reveal the resemblances and variations in the regulatory structure, corporate governance practices, and enforcement mechanisms in both countries. The study applies a comparative approach to find the factors affecting corporate governance practices and their impact on financial stability. The study investigates essential legal factors of corporate governance which include rules and regulations for executive compensation, board composition, shareholder rights, and transparency needs. Through the analysis of legislative and governing documents, case studies, and institutional practices, this study discloses the strengths and weaknesses of the corporate governance system of each country. The outcomes explore how different historical, cultural, legal, and economic factors design and shape corporate governance standards and their functioning. This relative assessment not only aids the academic discourse on international corporate governance but also offers practical perceptions for politicians and experts seeking to improve governance practices in both jurisdictions. To conclude, the study aims to provide an understanding of the legal framework for the corporate governance practices that are beneficial for effective corporate governance and helps policymakers, regulators, and other stakeholders to enhance and modify the governance practices that promote economic growth and development.
