Item Online auction (biding) system(UMT, Lahore, 2025) Abdullah Najam; Muhammad Hussain; Ghullam Abbas; Hajrah Mahrukh; Abdul MuqeetThe rapid growth of e-commerce has created a strong demand for digital platforms that offer interactive and competitive buying experiences. In response to the limitations of existing auction systems such as lack of real-time bidding, poor user interface, and weak administrative controls this project introduces Bid Man Pro, a modern, web-based online auction platform. The system is designed to provide a secure, responsive, and user-friendly environment where users can register, create auctions, participate in live bidding, manage orders and a built-in chatbot. Bid Man Pro supports real-time auction functionalities with dynamic bid updates, automated winner selection, and personalized user dashboards. Admins are equipped with powerful tools to manage auctions, users, orders, reports, and notifications through a dedicated dashboard. Key technologies used in development include PHP for backend logic, MySQL for database management, and HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development. Real-time interaction is achieved using AJAX, while tools like XAMPP/WAMP, php My Admin, Git were used for development, database handling, version control, and PDF generation respectively. The system was developed using the Agile methodology, allowing iterative design, testing, and improvements. Comprehensive testing including unit, integration, and user acceptance tests was performed to validate system functionality, security, and performance under load. The platform also features secure authentication, role-based access control, optimized database queries, and scalable architecture for future enhancements. Through Bid Man Pro, users experience a fully digital and transparent auction process, while administrators maintain full control over operations. The system offers a solution to many real-world challenges of traditional and outdated online bidding systems, paving the way for a more engaging, secure, and scalable e-commerce future.
