Item Error free accident identificaiton and information system(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Danish Naseer; Rizwan Shakir; Irtaza Younas; Abdul BasitNo system can automatically tell us the location of a road accident, when it occurs on the road. We can use GSM and GPS systems to identify the location of the accident and send this information to the rescue service. Ambition of this plan is to discover the accident spotandinform it to rescue department through the GPSand GSM networks. Global Positioning System is used to hint the position of the vehicle and Global System for Mobiles launch cellular linkage. To increase the reliability of this project we can use thuraya/DMR module so that the communication can be done from remote areas. The information of the car accident can also be sent to any car passing nearby provided it has a similar device fitted with in it. This communication will be done using zig-bee. With the help of this communication setup the information of the accident can be made to spread fast and further accidents can be avoided.Item Sugar Mill Automation using PLC(University of Management and Technology, 2013) Abdul Basit; Faisal Javaid; Omer JavaidAim of this project is to automate sugar mill using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and we have controlled some basic processes of sugar mill with PLC. Basic element of the project is to properly understand the concepts of automated industry. In a traditional Sugar Mill system, all control devices are wired directly to each other according to how the system is supposed to operate. Here human is the main to control the Processes & that passes through large drawbacks such as more wiring work, appears large mechanical faults & difficulties in troubleshooting & repair work .Due to these drawbacks industrial production decreases largely Theme behind the execution of this project is how the industries controlled all their process automatically make their work more accurate and efficient.Item Wind turbine power generation system(2011) Rashid Ashraf, M; Abdul Basit; Hassan MahmoodThe goal of this project is to design and implement a wind turbine system that charge up the dc battery with capabilities of charge controller a digital voltmeter to monitor battery voltages and an inverter module to convert dc into ac. Some of the specifications that we sought to achieve in our project is to design a mechanical system for turbine generator to produce 12V or above in a wind speed of about 12 to 13 Mph a charge controller based on voltage level sensing a 31/2 digit digital voltmeter with 0.1% accuracy and a 100 watt inverter module. The complete system will consist on wind turbine mounting assembly and three processing circuits charge controller, digital voltmeter and an inverter module. By implementing this system we are showing how different devices are integrate together to form a complete active alternative energy system.
