Item Smart Class System(2022) Hafiz Muhammad Zain and Sabeeh AhmedInstitutes globally are moving towards more and more better ways of integrating secure systems that are less likely to be exploited in any way by the end users. One of such systems is attendance system. Organizations and educational institutes around the world are moving towards biometric means of attendance for various purposes from automating these tasks to maintaining a healthy record of such activities and preventing common loopholes in a traditional attendance system. This system aims at providing a completely automated school management system with two separate systems that can be improved continuously without one being dependent on another except for improving productivity of each other. The primary part of this system is a Web Application that allows system admin to manage a school entirely from web portal, the secondary part of this system is a facial recognition biometric attendance system which will eventually be increasing productivity of system by automating the task of marking attendance and save time usually taken by manually marking attendance, this secondary system is smart enough to marks students as Present, Absent ad Late based on time the candidate appeared for attendance, it will also help by eliminating common loopholes of a traditional attendance system from being exploited by end users such as proxy attendances, human errors and records manipulation (i.e. marking absent student as present and late attendance as on-time etc.). Since both the primary and secondary systems are independent from each other, the primary system will have all the features available in case the secondary system fails by any chance. In case of failure in secondary system, class in-charge will still be able to mark the attendance through primary system manually.
