Item UNDERSTANDING THE KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ABOUT WOMEN PARTICIPATION IN POLITICS(UMT.Lahore, 2024) AYESHA MOHSIN; IFRAH MAQBOOLThe study explores the knowledge and attitudes of both male and female university students towards females' contributions in politics. Despite efforts towards promote gender equality, women remain underrepresented in political spheres. University students’ perspectives and opinions are vital manipulating the political landscape of the future The results show that while both men and women support women political empowerment, gender differences exist in their attitudes and beliefs. Men are more expected to have traditional views about gender roles, although women are more expected to value and support gender equality. The study identifies key factors influencing students' attitudes, including gender roles, social norms, political ideology, and educational background. The findings mention the necessity for targeted educational involvements to promote gender equality and challenge gender stereotypes among both male and female university students. By understanding the thoughts and attitudes of both men and women, this study contributes to the development of effective strategies for promoting women political contributions and gender equality.
