As artificial intelligence continues to reshape business environments, organizations increasingly seek to use AI technologies to improve strategic decision-making, foster innovation, and improve overall performance. Using a quantitative, cross sectional research design, data were collected through structured questionnaires from professionals working in Pakistani software houses where AI tools are actively integrated into operations. The study examined four key constructs: AIC, AIDDM, KCP, and OP. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to analyze the relationships between these variables and to test the proposed mediation model. The findings indicate that AI capabilities significantly and positively influence knowledge creation and knowledge management processes. AIC also demonstrated a moderate direct effect on organizational performance. However, the most notable improvements in performance were observed when AIC was mediated by knowledge-related processes, particularly through the effective management and sharing of organizational knowledge. Interestingly, AI-Driven Decision Making did not exhibit a strong direct effect on performance, highlighting the importance of human judgment and context in AI-supported strategic decision-making. Nonetheless, AIDDM contributed positively when mediated through knowledge management. This study makes an important contribution by elucidating the complex
