In today’s world, projects are considered to be one of the pivotal parts in a company or any
business as various companies rely on the projects. Thus, as importance indicates, project
management is one of the necessary tasks. To manage the projects, project managers play the
most essential role. However, one cannot find an agreed definition of a project manager, its
importance or necessity. Besides, many IT companies do not clearly define the criteria for
selecting a project manager but tend to focus on the technical skills rather than their managerial
competencies.
