PARENTAL ROLES AND THEIR IMPACT THROUGH THE LENS OF STORYTELLING

In today’s world, we see that a lot of children take their parents for granted. The hard work, efforts, and sacrifices that parents make are being underappreciated in the wake of everyday life. This abstract explores the ways that modern society undervalues their parents. The conventional family system has become less prevalent in the world of constant technology distractions, work pressures, and social demands. In early times, there was much time and patience for parents to raise children but nowadays due to the rise in dual-income and single-parent households, the time and patience needed for raising children has depleted which leads to less time spent with children, and this results in a strain in the parent-child relationship.
