Item Childhood trauma and rape myth acceptance among religious and non- religious adults of pakistan(UMT.Lahore, 2024) ZAIN NOOR; FATIMA ARSHADThis study explores the relationship between childhood trauma and rape myth acceptance in religious and non-religious adults. The main hypothesis of the study is that childhood sex abuse and rape myth acceptance is more common in individuals or societies who have strong religious beliefs as compared to those individuals who are non religious. This study contains on three variables i.e., Childhood Trauma, Rape Myth Acceptance and Religiosity. The method was used in the research i.e., Quantitative Surveys to see the difference between individuals who face childhood trauma and those who haven’t faced childhood trauma. The effects were more common in those adults who have strong religious beliefs. This research evaluates the religious beliefs and backgrounds of the individuals who have faced sexual assault, victim blaming patterns, and the implications for intervention and prevention programs for reducing acceptance of rape myths in communities.
