Item Winter Fruits (A Creative Interpretation through Textile Surface Technique)(UMT Lahore, 2025-10-30) Aliya AyubThis dissertation is under the name "Winter Fruits: A Creative Interpretation through Textile Surface Techniques" and it investigates the artistic and symbolic importance of seasonal fruits such as apples, pumpkins, and corn, which are presented through handmade textile techniques. His project is inspired by nature's winter color scheme and the emotional warmth that these fruits produce; therefore, it combines the old art of surface ornamentation with the new design feel. The artwork is done with the help of sewing, sticking, and painting with fabric and mixing media in order to make the digital surfaces unrecognizable with the shapes, colors, and textures of winter fruits. The designers do not simply present the fruits literally but rather they impressively portray, bringing to the viewer's mind the variability, nostalgia, and the cultural memory that are associated with the winter season. The work presented here does not make use of any statistical or survey methods but chooses to conduct observational research, aesthetic evaluations, and the cultural narrating of cloth instead. The artist's whole inner dialogue with the winter artifacts is mirrored in the use of every stitch and motif. He changes the seasonal beauty into fabric visual poetry. Besides making textiles, the work also wants to restore the awareness of nature's cycles, rejuvenate the traditional techniques with new and warm narrative, and maybe even give a place among the contemporary textile spaces.
