Item The influence of a reflective teaching course on prospective teachers' self-efficacy in reflective teaching(UMT Lahore, 2023-09-15) Ghania ZahraThe purpose of the study was explored the influence of a reflective teaching course on prospective teachers' self-efficacy in reflective teaching: a phenomenological study. A qualitative study using IPA method and phenomenology research design that included 15 prospective teachers both male and female from the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore. The data was collected through the open-ended written reflections. These reflections were reflected upon the prospective teacher’s influence of the course on their self-efficacy through IPA methodology. Prospective teachers gave data and direction on which objectives they should aim for and which of those they have proactively fulfilled. My research's findings demonstrated that this course helped students both personally and professionally. These students have a basic understanding of reflection and reflective practice; they are aware of its characteristics and use various forms of reflection to reflect on their practices. The study revealed that these students' commitment to reflection and reflective practice was influenced by characteristics such as having ample chance to ponder and write reflections, maintaining a responsive mindset, being convinced of the need of reflective education, and having trust in change.
