The Application of Functional Finishes on Haute Couture

In this research different functional finishes like stay fresh, fluorescent finish and glow in the dark are applied onto different fabric surfaces. The main aim or purpose of these finishes was to develop haute couture that could contain dual functionality alongside the aesthetics of the garment. Different outfits specially designed as haute couture applications were decorated with functional finishes to make duo of aesthetics and technical textile. The textiles or garments with functional finishes have already been utilized for many technical applications of their finishes are limited. Three major finishes including stay fresh, fluorescent finish and glow in the dark are used by keeping in mind cosmetic application on the haute couture.
