Perception of teachers about teaching-learning process of students with hearing impairment through assistive listening devices

The purpose of this study was to find out the teacher’s perception about usage of assistive listening devices during teaching learning process of students with hearing impairment in the classroom. This study was descriptive type of research which was completed with quantitative research method. All the teachers of students with hearing impairment were consider the papulation of this research. Researcher had selected 120 teachers of students with hearing impairment through convenient sampling technique from special education institutions in Lahore. Data was collected by survey method by using a self-developed research instrument by researcher. Selected data was analyzed by using SPSS. The results of the study highlight the challenges that teachers perceive in usage of assistive listening devices with their students in classroom. Policy makers and implementers in the field of hearing impairment need to consider these issues through providing professional development and resources, addressing financial barriers, and conducting awareness programs for students regarding the effectiveness of assistive listening devices.
