Abstract
This study was conducted to explore the relationship between work family conflict,
spousal support and quality of life which aims at benefiting and helping others and
female married teachers. The sample (N=140 with age 20-50( M=35.7, SD=10.0) years)
was drawn from various public and private schools of Pakistan. Work family conflict
scale, (2010) was used to measure the work family conflict, spousal support was
measured by spousal support scale by Yildirim (2004) and quality of life was measured
by Brunnsyiken brief quality of life scale. This study hypothesized a negative
relationship between work family conflict and quality of life and found positive
relationship between spousal support and quality of life. Hierarchal regression analysis
showed spousal support as a positive and significant predictor of quality of life. Work
family conflict was found to be negative and significant predictor of quality of life. The
findings of the study will help the people, organizations/ schools to understand the
possible factors that increases the likelihood of work to family conflict for female staff.
Organizations will be able to avail from the findings of this research by making useful
strategies that promote good quality of life for female staff . On the whole this study is
very much informative for understanding the awareness of quality of life of female
married teachers.
