dc.description.abstractThis dissertation explains how women were treated unjustly before and they are still treated in the same manner in some areas of the world. The writers like Charlotte Bronte and Mary Wollstonecraft have explained the restricted and tough lives of the women through their miserable female characters. These writers throw light on the brutalities and injustice endured by the women who do not deserve it at all. The very concept of considering women weak and lower in status is in limelight. This description might be helpful in order to change the thinking of people when considering the positions of women in the society. The prevailing tradition of treating women in such an unpleasant manner forced me to write about it and to make everybody aware of the bitter reality that women are considered as “inferiors” who are just born for slavery. However, the courage and valor of women through all these circumstances makes me happyen_US
