It specifically looks at the connections between poverty, per capita income, and unemployment and student enrollment. Across 200 government schools, 335 teachers and administration personnel provided data, of which 332 full replies were examined using SPSS for regression analysis and descriptive statistics. The results show that there is no statistically significant correlation between student enrollment and unemployment (p = 0.105). Nonetheless, there is a strong positive association (p = 0.008) between per capita income and enrollment as well as a substantial positive correlation (p = 0.000) between enrollment and poverty. These findings imply that while unemployment has no appreciable effect on school enrollment rates, economic factors like income and poverty do. The study emphasizes how important financial resources are to enhancing educational outcomes and access.Item DO MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS A STUDY OF CORPORATE CULTURE IN PAKISTAN(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Saman MukhtarIn today's world, it is nearly impossible for corporate organizations to expand without the medium of restructuring themselves through mergers and acquisitions. The Government of Pakistan is providing this service for the uplift of student educational level in society. The government is investing considerably in the education sector in an attempt to attract students from different regions by offering this scholarship each year. This program was started in 2008, and from time to time government increased its funding limit; now this program is accommodating thousands of students in Punjab and other provinces as well. These scholarships generally cover tuition fees, stipends, living and travelling allowance, etc. In this study, it is tried to evaluate the student’s satisfaction level about PEEF scholarship taking the level of student satisfaction as the dependent variable and, financial expense coverage, merit criteria and academic help as independent variables. At first, the descriptive measures are calculated to analyze the students’ responses for a sample of 555 respondents. Later, regression analysis is used to compute the cause and effect relationship among dependent and independent variables. The results showed a significant relationship between variables that illuminate the student satisfaction level regarding the PEEF scholarship. This scholarship program is valuable as compared to other scholarship programs. Additionally, the student satisfaction level shows that this scholarship program is helpful for students belonging to different categories. An increase in financial support can make it a more successful scholarship program, resulting in increasing the education ratio of the country.Item Impact of public’s belief in conspiracy theories on polio vaccination programs in Pakistan(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Shehzada Samee UllahPolio disease poses a serious challenge to health authorities in Pakistan, which is one of two remaining countries in the world where polio remains endemic. The problem is especially severe in Pashto speaking regions of KPK and Baluchistan, a region which has suffered from war and conflict for many decades. Previous studies have found these regions as fertile ground for proliferation of different conspiracy theories, misconceptions and rumours regarding polio vaccination program. Insights from theory of reasoned action (TRA) reveal that beliefs can have a significant impact in determining attitudes and human behaviour. It was suspected that belief in conspiracy theories might be a reason behind vaccine hesitancy and vaccine refusal among the local population. The current study was conducted to understand the impact of these conspiracy theories, misconceptions, and myths, on the attitude of public towards vaccination. A random sample (n=400) was chosen for this study from polio high-risk areas of KPK and Baluchistan using cluster sampling method. A survey instrument was used to gather data which was analysed using regression analysis in SPSS software. The results show that all three independent variables, i.e., perception of religious conspiracies, perception of vaccination as a tool for spying, and misconceptions about side-effects of vaccines, have significant positive association with the dependent variable, negative attitude towards polio vaccination.
